People go through the motions of life everyday; working, or going to school, and doing their daily duties. They are so caught up with the busyness of life that they forget to actually live. It is what we are all here for: to live life, so why not make the best of the life we are given? Living life to the fullest can impact our inner happiness, our relationships with others, and allow us to learn a greater appreciation for life itself, as well as the world around us.
When someone can set aside their fears and try new things out, they can learn more about themselves and grow as a person. Trying new experiences is a big part of living life. Someone may try skydiving for the first time and find that they love the thrill of the fall, and the beauty of being free. One could fly to another country alone to educate themselves on spirituality, and feel exhilarated by doing something they may have always wanted to try. If we open our minds to the possibilities of trying things we have always wanted. then we can bring great joy into our lives. If something interests us, we should seek it out. We only live once, so we should learn how to surround ourselves with the things that make us happy.
In order to live our lives to the fullest, we shouldn't dwell on the things that make us unhappy. If someone is in a relationship that they aren't satisfied with, then maybe they can find true happiness with someone else. It is our life, we shouldn't let anything discourage us from being as happy as possible. No one wants to die unhappy, we all want the inner peace of knowing we lived a full and joyous life, and no one can make that happen but ourselves.
If we are always living the daily grind for no reason, then we may not appreciate the relationships we have with those that we love. If we truly seek to live the greatest life in our own eyes, then we can have better friendships with everyone. We need to make time for the people in our lives that bring us joy. We shouldn't see our kids as burdens or our significant others as a waste of time. If we truly love these individuals then we should make all the time in the world for them. We should treat them with respect and love. Appreciating the individuals that you love will make the relationships grow into a beautiful thing.
No one knows when they will die; they could die tomorrow or they may have many years left. Understanding that our lives will only be lived once can bring us a greater appreciation for the time we have left. We should be thankful for the moments we are given on earth, and the fact that we are offered all the chances at finding happiness in life. Unfortunately, it typically takes a life altering event for someone to realize how precious their own time is.
Taking the time to live our life instead of running through it will allow us to see the beauty of our surroundings. One may take a walk on a cool autumn day and feel the breeze pass through their hair, only to smell the warm scent of the apple trees. They stop to watch the golden brown leaves slowly fall to the ground, only to see the true beauty that may have gone unnoticed their whole lives. With the philosophy of living our lives to the fullest extent, we may notice things that we overlooked for years; the beauty of a child calling for their "mama," the intricate web of a spider, or the bright stars in the night sky. It only takes a moment to truly see the wonder in our everyday lives, and learn to appreciate the elegance.
It is said that the dates on our gravestone aren't the things that matter in life, but the small dash in between those dates. That little line is what tells our life story, no matter how short or long our lifespan may be. If we truly choose to live our lives to the fullest degree then we will find pure happiness without ourselves, and others. We will grow to learn a gratefulness of our time spent on earth, and the nature around us, and in turn, that dash on our gravestone can mean so much more than it looks.

Well, what can I say? It's been awhile! I'm not doing any deal updates just yet.. but I'll get back to that hopefully starting around November 1st, when I'll hopefully be in my very own apartment.

So here goes--

Weight update- I've been sticking around the same weight lately, but I've lost 60 pounds total since having my little man Ev. I'm hoping to lose some more of course, but it's been hard lately to get motivated.

I left Chad...so I'm currently living with my sister Tiffany.I always wondered if the grass was greener on the other side ;-) and guess what?! IT IS! It's been great not having to be bossed around.. AND I'm allowed to go out if I want! Ok sorry, I got carried away there! There are always 2 sides to the story, and for those who know Chad-- he's still a good guy. (or am I being nice?) Either way, he's still Ev's daddy (a great daddy too). I'm just not in a good mood! (I've heard that's when my blog gets more exciting!! drama!! lol)
Anyways, I'm waiting to hear back about my application to an apartment! I'm pretty stoked.. 2 bedroom, 2nd floor (top floor), great area, etc etc!

I went shopping at Kroger yesterday. Didn't really get too many coupons ready beforehand, but I did what I could for a last second idea. My original total was $62, and my total after coupons was $28. I guess that's not aweful.

I do have a camera again on my phone! it works! yay! So I'll have to get pictures up again of Ev and I!

I got a new tattoo and piercing. I got my nape (back of neck) pierced, and got a tattoo on my foot, which should be finished in the next week or two.

Just been pretty stressed lately to say the least.. I guess that may be it for now!? I'll be back soon! Hope everyone is well!

I'm writing this from my cell phone, so I hope it turns out ok!

Anyways, as of this morning, I have lost 55.2 pounds!!! Yay! That is, within the last 9 months, and of course 10.5 of that was chunky Everett!! I have less that 8 pounds to go, to get to a big goal of mine! I have a total of about 19 pounds to go, (at this point) to get to my goal weight! Just wanted to update!! Hope all is well!

Hooray for Redbox codes!! I don't remember if I've mentioned these codes before, but here are some that I KNOW work! They worked for us!

So I haven't been around much.. Chad got a job working at a dealership in southern Dayton, so that's good. He started last week, and sold his first car on Monday! (I believe that's when it was!) I went on Tuesday and Wednesday (yesterday) to take my official GED test!! I'll get my results this Monday afternoon, and my paperwork (assuming I pass-which I have no doubts) will be sent to me within 4-6 weeks! My graduation, which I plan to attend, will be June 4th 2010, so mark your calendars!!

Anyways, It's been a bit rough for us monetery wise... so that's why I haven't listed many deals, or my own savings. I'm hoping within the month, to get back to updating a couple times a day! So don't go anywhere, keep checking back!!

Ok, so I have some good news, and some bad news!

Good news first!

As some of you may know, I never received a diploma when I graduated from homeschooling. So I have been studying to take the GED test. Well, this week I took the practice GED test, for my fee-waiver (so I can take the real test for FREE.) Tonight was my last night of tests, and I got my results! I passed!! Very well too! I got a great score, and passed all the English parts with flying colors. (near perfect scores) I even did near perfect on my essay!! Woo!!

Anyways, so on July 7th and 8th, I take the real deal- and will (hopefully) get my GED, and can even walk in a ceremony with full robe and everything!

On to worse news- my fiance, Chad, lost his job today due to economic reasons. We would love it everyone could pray, cross your fingers, hope, think about us, whatever you do- do it!! We need it! This was a huge blow, to an already rough situation for us. I know we'll pull through somehow, but maybe not the way we'd hope. Keep us in your thoughts, and if anyone local knows of any jobs available- HELP!

For this reason, I may not be posting as much- but I'll still be here so don't go anywhere!

Did anyone check out the website I had posted, to try to snag a coupon for $75 off $100 order at Old Navy??

To get that large coupon, you had to catch a bird flying across the page. Gosh- that was hard with my old mouse!! So when I finally caught the darn thing, that coupon was GONE! So I still got a decent coupon- 30% off a $50 order or more. I guess that's not tooooo bad?!

Just wanted to see if anyone tried, or got anything good!!

(4) Packs of Bar-S Hotdogs- FREE. I thought they would be 5¢ per pack, but the price was 50¢ ea, not 55¢ before my coupons!

Food for thought: I have never been one to shop at Walgreens at all, until recently. The way RR's helps me is that I can buy things out of pocket, get Register Rewards, and use those for formula.
So you can look at it 2 ways: I'm buying the stuff, and getting my formula for free.... OR I'm buying my formula (which I would anyways!) and getting all of the stuff for free!
The way I see it: I'm going to spend money out of pocket each week anyways for formula. Why not spend the money out of pocket for things that will give me register rewards, then turn around and use the RR's on formula!?

At CVS if you buy:

2 Dry Idea deodorants at $2.50 each, you will get $2 ECB's. (Limit 3)
Use 2 of the $2 off 1 coupons.
You will pay $1 oop, and get $2 ECB's
Which means the deodorants are free, plus $1 overage!!

For those that don't know, CVS has an "Extra Care Bucks" card. It's completely free, just ask for one! For certain things you buy, you get a print out on your receipt for money to be used on your next order. Make sure you always have them scan your CVS card!
Once you have a few "ECB's" saved up- you can use them to buy things that will get you more ECB's... meaning that after a couple visits, you will hardly ever have to come out of pocket, except for taxes!

This is not exactly a budget-friendly recipe, usually- but it's very delicious!!

*BLT Dip with toast squares*

What you need:
1 cup mayonnaise1 cup sour cream1 lb. bacon2 medium tomatoes
Cook the bacon until it's crispy, drain. Dice your tomatoes, leaving out most of the seeds.Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, bacon and tomatoes, mix well. Serve with toast squares. We had this at a party recently, and it was amazing!!! Great for summer get togethers!

Since the sales and ads end today, I had to do my week's end shopping! It's a little bit easier to get it all done in one day, instead of a few evenings during the week, BUT by the time I get to Walgreen, or CVS- the freebie items are usually GONE. So from now on, I will be doing my CVS and Walgreens shopping early in the week to get my money makers, and freebies!!

I started today off at Walgreens-

Roots of Nature Hair Strengthening Moisturizer- On sale for $6.00.

Used a $1 coupon. Paid $5.38 oop, and got back $6 RR.

For those that are unfamiliar with Walgreens: For certain items you buy, you get a print out called Register Rewards. It's like cash that can be used on your next purchase at Walgreens. So sometimes you may come out of pocket to buy something, but you will get "paid" a RR for the same amount of money, or even more. So 'technically' I got 'paid' 62 cents to buy this item.

Then I headed off to Target where I was expecting lots of great deals! Some things were just not what I liked, so I didn't waste my money. Other items were out, or weren't on the same sale as posted.I can't seem to find my receipt, so I may be off by a few pennies? I got:

(2) Velveeta Shells and Cheese: on sale for $1.67 each. Got them for 67 cents each.

(2) Coppertone Sunscreens: FREE.

My next savings spot was Kroger! This one was a good deal!!

(6) Kraft BarBQ sauce. (3 Honey, 3 Original) Notice they are 55% bigger than normal, so I got even more for free! Woo! haha.

For every 3-6 that you buy, you get a different amount back in coupons. Because I bought 6 BarBQ sauces, I got a $3 oyno (on your next order) coupon.

I paid oop: 48 cents.

I received: $3 oyno coupon. So these are money makers!

Now for my big order!! MEIJER! Meijer had some amazing deals this week!! I seem to have gotten alot there recently!

Bananas were on sale for 27 cents a pound!! So these were: $1.92

Now, we won't eat all these very quickly, so most of them will be put in the baby food grinder, and frozen for Everett.

What to do with all my freebies!

So I've been asked by numerous people, "What do you do with ALL that stuff?" Or, "Why did you get 4 tubs of mayo? Do you NEED all of that?"

First, our linen closet is no longer a linen closet! It is now overflowing with toiletries we got for free, or for pennies. Cleaning supplies, deodorants, toothpaste, shaving gel, face wash, lotions, razors, you name it! I wont NEED to buy toiletries for quite some time! If I can get them free, or for a few pennies- why not get them now, rather than waiting until we need it and spending $2-$10 on each item?

As far as the grocery items- our pantry is literally overflowing with canned goods, cereals, snacks, and lots of other things! We currently have nowhere else to put our grocery items, so we're going to try to buy/goodwill/freecycle a large cabinet to store the extra items.

Why do I have numerous amounts of the same item you ask? It was free, cheap, or it was even an item that had an overage. You're right, I don't need 4 tubs of Miracle Whip, or mayo... (I'm getting quite a few more tomorrow too!) but they were free, and I can donate them!!

Recently I have gotten cat food, and cat treats for free... I don't have a cat, so I take these items to the local animal shelter/rescue.
Lots of the canned goods, etc I can keep for awhile, or donate to a local shelter or organization that is in need.
I don't need umpteen boxes of feminine pads, so I plan to donate some to a women's shelter.

So not only am I saving my family lots of money, but I am/will be donating, and helping others out as well.

One more thing, sometimes cashiers or even managers will treat you like crap since you have coupons. It's quite frustrating.

Recently, Tiff had a bad experience at Target (where we've had issues before) and I suggest going to this link:

I'm on my lunch break, so I don't have alot of time, but will try to get alot of things on here as fast as possible!!

The evercare lint roller can be found at walmart (and a few other stores) in the trial size area by the pharmacy for 99 cents- making them FREE after the coupon. You can print 2 for each coupon. The Dry Idea deodorant should be on sale at CVS this coming week, plus you'll get ECB's for it, meaning- you get "paid" to buy it. (I can go into further explanation of this later)

Then check out this link to a blog I follow, for certain sales, printable coupons, etc. You can trust this blog, it's where I go to find all of my printables, etc. She explains which store has what on sale, and which coupon to use, to get it free- or almost free!! This particular link is for her blog about deals and freebies at Target this week. Some of them you would have had to bought past sunday papers, for the coupons. But some have printables!

There are PLENTY of KRAFT coupons out right now! Nice ones! If you find them (you can find them using the blog above) print them out! Like I said, most coupons can be printed atleast 2 times each.

The Kraft BarBQ sauce should be on sale at Kroger this week (atleast until tomorrow!!) for $1.08 each. On the above link, you should be able to go to numerous websites to print off $1 coupons for the sauce... making it nearly free. PLUS- if you buy atleast 4 BarBQ sauces at Kroger, it will print off more coupons for your next visit to Kroger, making these BarBQ sauces money makers!!!

One last 'lesson' for today, lol. Lets say Target has a coupon on their website (to be used at their store only) for $1 off Kraft Dressing. Lets also say you have a manufacturers coupon for $1 off Kraft Dressing. Because the one coupon is Target's, you can use BOTH coupons for the same SINGLE item.

Meijer mealbox has plenty of good coupons right now, and put together with manufacturers coupons that you can print off, or get in the previous papers (make sure you buy atleast 1 paper every Sunday- when there are coupons.) then you can get item VERY cheap, or FREE.

Today I missed Ev soo much! I mean, I always miss him- but today I missed him SOOOOOO much! I counted down the hours until I got off work. I left for Tiffany's to pick him up, and she called and said they were stuck in traffic! (From leaving the museum) I didn't mind at all, but was sad that I'd have to wait a little longer to see my little man!

Once Ev was home, I decided it would just be a mommy-evvie day! No tv, no internet, no couponing, no shopping! We played, cuddled, and had a good time together eating bananas and crackers! I truly enjoyed his company today, instead of getting stressed out. It's not that I don't enjoy him, or anything- don't get me wrong.... but it does get very stressful sometimes because Chad has such crazy hours, I feel like a single parent sometimes.

Once Ev fell asleep in my arms, I held him for quite awhile until we were both sweating. haha. Then I put him to bed, and started on my daily coupon routine of course! lol. I printed out numerous coupons, and even organized alot of mine from the past 2 weeks!!

Ok, now for my Kmart transaction today!! They were still doubling coupons, so I went there for much needed dog food, and some freebies.

The dog food equals $0.63 per pound. The bulk bag we used to buy at the local pet store was $0.90 per pound. We have now found that buying in bulk doesn't always mean saving money. Sometimes buying smaller items, with coupons, means big savings!!

So this was my purchase at CVS today!! CVS is a little different. For certain things purchased each week/month, you will get a print out with your receipt for "Extra Care Bucks" that can be used on your next purchase at CVS. They spend like cash, but look like receipts. If you use them wisely, you can go to CVS each week, bring home items, and never pay more than $1 oop (out of pocket) because you can always buy things that will get you ECB's, and pay for them with your old ECB's. Get it?

(3) Kellogg's Special K Cereals: $0.67 ea.

Subtotal: $10.00 (on sale!)

Total After coupons: $7.00 oop (out of pocket) I got back: $5 ECB. (Extra Care Bucks.)

This next purchase was from Walgreen's. Walgreen's works similar to CVS. Theirs is called "Register Rewards." They look just like the coupon print outs you get at grocery stores(Catalina coupons) but they spend like cash at Walgreen's. For certain items purchased, you get RR (Register Rewards) to print out, for your next purchase.

Kmart Super Double Coupons This week!!

I hope everyone clipped their coupons!!!
This week is super double coupons at Kmart. Check your local Kmart (alot of them had misprints on this week's ad) and they are almost all doubling coupons up to $2 !! I see alot of FREE things in my future!!!

Grocery Shopping, and Some other Good Deals!!

So I just got back from doing my grocery shopping for this week! I did great if I may say so myself!!!
I'll show my pics first:

(4) packs Ramen noodles

(2) Kraft Bar-B-Q sauce (FREE)

(1) Can Sloppy Joe

(1) Can pasta sauce (80 cents)

(1) Bag of frozen chicken- 2.5 lbs. ($4.99)

(1) 4 pack yo-plus yogurt. (SOOO good!)

(1) green pepper

(1) orange pepper

(1) mac n cheese

(1) mashed potatoes pouch

(1) pack of wraps

(1) bag of frozen veggies for stir fry ($1)

(1) Gallon of Milk (1.75)

(1) carton of eggs (98 cents)

(1) garlic bread

(2) Kraft Bar-B-Q sauce (FREE)

(1) Loaf of Aunt Millie's Bread (80 cents)

(1) Pack of Aunt Millie's Hamburger Buns (80 cents)

(2) Red Baron frozen pizzas. (2 in each box)

(2) Pack of Diapers- ($3.49 each after great coupons!)

Ground Turkey- 1.2 lbs

This was all from Kroger and Meijer-

Subtotals together: 53.91

Total after coupons and taxes: 40.48 Savings of: 13.43

If I hadn't bought the diapers (but they were a great deal!) I would have only gone over roughly $3 and some change from my goal for the week!!

Then I also stopped and got some more deals from Target--

(2) V-8 Fusion Juices- nomally priced around $3.85-$4. I got them for 98 cents each!

(2) Dry Idea deodorants (FREE)

Week meal plan, and shopping list!

This weeks DINNER meal plan:

Monday-
homemade Meatloaf, mashed potatoes & greenbeans.

Tuesday-
Spaghetti, meat sauce & garlic bread.

Wednesday-
Chicken fajitas, corncake, & refried beans.

Thursday-
Chicken stirfry, veggies, white rice.

Friday-
Sloppy-joes, & mac n cheese.

Saturday-
Fried chicken, corn, mashed potatoes.

Snacks for the week: popcorn, fruit, teddy grahms, animal crackers, yogurt, etc.
Breakfasts: muffins, egg sandwiches, cereal.
Lunches: peanut butter sandwiches, ramen noodles, etc.

This weeks grocery list:

1.5 lbs ground turkey (we dont use beef anymore)
garlic bread
spaghetti sauce
fajita wraps
green pepper
orange pepper
veggies for stir fry
white rice
hamburger buns
mac n cheese
potatoes
bag of frozen chcken
sloppy joe sauce
bread
milk
eggs
ramen noodles
and some frozen food maybe for Chad's lunches.

All this, and my goal is to stick to the list, and spend less than $25-$30 for the week.

Quick Post

This is a quick post, because I am totally pooped!!

Yesterday was my half-day at work! Chad, Ev and I went out and about yesterday some. We stopped by one of the satellite offices for my job, thinking we would see my good friend Jess, another sweethear- Gerry. We're about to walk into the office and a light bulb finally lit up. If it's MY half day, it's Jess's half day too!! DUH! So we walk in, Jess is not there of course, and neither is Gerry!! Gerry is ALWAYS there on a Friday! Where did she go?!? haha. So we got to see the other ladies, but sorry- it wasn't the same!! lol.

So today we went to Alli, Lizzi, and Kadin's bday party!! That was alot of fun! I have some pics and more info I'll put up tomorrow. We also went to a friend's wedding-- funny stories coming about that tomorrow as well!!

I'm headed to bed!! I'm pooped!!!! Goodnight all!!

More Deal Shopping Tonight!

So I went out to a different walmart and used some more coupons!
I got 4 more lint rollers! I had an overage of 3 cents each- but I bought stuff for dinner, so my 12 cents went towards that!

Then I went to Walgreens!

I got this box of Ecotrin (normally 7.99 I think) for free!! Tomorrow I am getting one more, for free- but ALSO getting a $2 register reward. (Think cash,but has to be used at Walgreens) So that'll be nice!
Ev and mommy played a bit before our shopping trip- and we even played at the stores!! He must have shopped til he dropped!!

Also, Tiff informed me that our local Meijer doubles coupons daily. (up to 50 cent coupons. then from 51 cent to 99 cent coupons would just be bumped up to $1) So see if your local meijer doubles as well!!

Along with my free pasta bread bowl at dominos today (which was quite delicious!) I also did a little deal shopping today!

At Walmart I got: (prices are after sale and coupons).

(2) Lady Speed Stick Deodorants for 25 cents each.

(2) Mens Speed Stick Deodorants for 25 cents each.

(4) Colgate toothpastes for 25 cents each.

(2) Lint rollers free plus overage of 3 cents each.

Subtotal: $9.94

Total after coupons and tax: $2.59 Savings of: $7.35

Then at Target I got:

(4) Nabisco Snack Packs for 52 cents each. (I have MANY more coupons for these, but I wanted the other kinds- oreos, chips ahoy, and teddy grahams.)

(4) Jars of organic baby food for 42 cents each. (These were on clearance, but I had no coupons for them)

(4) Individual containers of Easy Mac n Cheese for 38 cents each.

Subtotal: $12.38

Total after coupons: $5.30 Savings of: $7.08

Free Pasta Bread Bowl at Dominos!

Today from 11am-2 pm at most Dominos, they are giving away free pasta bread bowls. One per walk-in customer. Tell them you saw it online. Call your local dominos first too, to see if they are participating!!

I got one free today (yesterday they had no idea what I was talking about when I asked) and it was delicious!! I couldn't even finish the whole thing, so it's going to be a FREE lunch for 2 days!

Blackened Jambalaya

Today was very "blah." I ran out of my happy pills on Saturday, so I had to call the Dr. today for some more. Chad brought them to me at work, because I could already tell a difference. Yes, I must be crazy.

I had a very sad dream lastnight that my parents told me my life was going nowhere with Chad. They said I could move back in with them, and they would pay for me to go to college. In my dream I was so sad, but I was going to take them up on it I believe. I was more sad about the fact that my life IS nothing. I AM a nobody, not just in my dreams.

I got my week's list of dinners ready, and put together my shopping list. Then I got my coupons ready for the grocery list. I plan to do my shopping Wednesday I believe. Looks like I'll still be able to keep it under $20-$30 TOPS for the whole week.

Tonight Ev and I hung out at home. I wanted to relax some, since the weekend flew by! I had DVR'd "The Chronicles of Narnia" the other day, so I watched most of that tonight as well, while Ev took his nap. Then I started dinner.... I guess I forgot about it being on the stove, because Chad came home and we were talking. I went in to stir my jambalaya, and it was completely burnt! Chad made some stupid comments, as if he should even have a voice in the matter- considering he NEVER cooks.

So I guess I'm skipping dinner, unless Chad would like to make something. A trip somewhere probably. So I'm going to bed. That was my day!!
